Ive heard some with shared hosting getting the host to set this up for them but thats one reason for needing the dedicated server is that you need access to the root files on the server to setup paths. The current version will only get faster once Darren gets the bugs worked out. Until then the speed of the chat will vary from server to server weather the bugs are fixed or not. The ajax skin was made being it was suppose to make the chat faster but it has bugs and its never been fixed. Mainly its the auto login that doesnt work but to be sure there isnt anything else you should check that forum area. Also in this version your referring to before I forget I dont even think these two socket servers are setup to work yet. I had to alter a path for the php socket server and managed to get that working on a windows system but for Unix based Ive never tried. The java socket server I tried but never did get it working on previous versions other then in version 4. So your more then welcome to play but I really dont know what the issue is with it if you have issues. Maybe there are some other tips in that forum area that may help.

We are working with FC 4.7.12 and on a shared hosting server.
Sometimes we have more than 30 visitors. And all is not working very smooth anymore.
There are more and more visitors coming to our website. And so we are thinking of moving to a new dedicated server.

Does anyone has got any advice what we need for a dedicated hosting plan. And not too expensive about 100,- per month.

I hope someone has got good experience with a dedicated hosting company.
